THE INN is a hidden gem. So quaint and cozy with great service and food. I loved the lounge area with the fireplace to read and relax. Definitely an inn you dont want to leave! I was bummed to find out the bar/restaurant was closed during the time I was there so make sure you double check that before booking
We didn’t stay overnight, but we discovered this place online and it truly exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is exceptional — the food rivals and even surpasses anything we’ve had in Manhattan. I ordered the elk, and my wife had the pork osso buco — both dishes were outstanding. The old fashioned was a perfect 5/5. We’ll definitely be returning whenever we’re in the area.
I think everything went well, weather was great and room was clean. The cost changed sense originally quoted in January, I payed $50, more. Really good breakfast. Everyone was nice and helpful.
This place really is as good as the reviews say. Very quaint beautiful place in a cute town just a few miles from Jay Peak. Rooms are nice and cozy. Dinner was great. Their signature maple dessert was excellent. Glad that there is NO T.V.; read books and played card games when in our room. The only issue I had was with the shower curtain on the claw-footed tub. Nice tub, but with the curtains made the tub much smaller than it would be otherwise.
We stayed at The Inn the 1st week of August, The Inn is a diamond in the Ruff!! Our room (#8) was very cozy, no TV or fridge, but both were available in the lounge area, the staff is very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable of the area & genuinely great people! The dinner food & drinks were very good, the free breakfast was excellent, nothing like hotel free breakfast, a very casual atmosphere with a nice property to truly relax at, lots of lounge areas near the Inn and also chairs near Trout River, an absolutely great place to stay at, we would definitely stay again when we are in the area. It's only 15 minutes away from Jay Peak and it was worth every penny we spent there!
Loved this inn. The rooms are cozy with authentic decor. Great location in the heart of the village with excellent access to the trout river. Perfect if you fly fish, perfect just to sit and relax if not. The food is amazing, the staff felt like family. Love my stay here and would definitely come back.
Everything about our stay at The Inn was perfect. We preferred to stay in a town rather than on the resort for more of a local vibe with restaurants and nightlife during our ski trip to Jay Peak. The Inn was beautiful, cozy, clean, and extremely accommodating. The hot breakfast was far beyond expectations including healthy and hearty options made to order. We also made dinner reservations for our second night there, and everything was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was quintessential Vermont with great cocktails to boot. Nick, the Inn Keeper, could not have been kinder. I will definitely stay here again whenever I am back in that area.
Beautiful inn with an electric blend of decor. Great breakfast. Sadly we did not have an opportunity to dine at the inn as dinner is only served Thursday thru Sunday. Nice dinner menu and superb wine list. Hand crafted specialty cocktail list was extremely appealing. Congenial on site owner. Outdoor areas for relaxing. The river is a stone throws away with swinging bench, seating and a fire pit. Several dining options in the area. Highly recommend.
Quiet and peaceful, charming and good food . Nice people and a warm room . This place is something from the old days of past. Lots of things to look at , antiques books to read . Wonderful place to stay
The staff are delightful and accommodating, including the Inn dog Banana. The grounds are well maintained, clean and welcoming; not just the covered outdoor dining/bar/seating area - also the places to sit by the beautiful Trout river - there's even a swing chair. The indoor public rooms are traditionally styled, the wood smells great; if I went back in Autumn or Winter, I'd enjoy being warm and cosy there. My bedroom was nice, it suited the overall Inn style. The bed was especially comfortable. It was nice to have the bottle of delicious Vermont water on the silver tray; classic touch and the bathroom had thoughtful amenities. My only observation - while the lamps were charming, I found the room a bit dark - couldn't really sit & read. Breakfast is included. The coffee was delicious, a pleasant surprise. There are quite a few choices on the breakfast menu and the service gracious and pleasant. What a wonderful way to start the day.
